Austria offers machinery for hydel projects to HP

Shimla, Apr 27 (UNI) Austria today offered to provide quality power generation machinery, unmanned aerial vehicle and helicopters to Himachal Pradesh, saying quality products would be provided to the state.

The offer was made by Austrian delegation, led by Special Envoy of the President of Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Sepp Dabringer, during their meeting with Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh here.

The Austrian delegation said the helicopters would be provided on lease, rental or outright sale basis to promote tourism in the state, besides the aerial vehicle.

Welcoming the offer, the chief minister said his government would examine the proposals keeping in view the requirements of the state.

Observing that Austria was one of the major suppliers of quality generation hydel power machinery and equipments, he said the government would procure such equipment on priority to harness the total identified hydel potential of the state.
