Arvind Mills Q4 net down 59.49 pc to Rs 21.47 crore

Mumbai, Apr 27 (UNI) Arvind Mills Ltd has posted 59.49 per cent decline in net profit to Rs 21.47 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 53.0 crore for the coresponding quarter last year.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has declined by 17.46 per cent to Rs 363.75 crore for Q4 FY 06 from Rs 440.70 crore in Q4 FY 05.

It has posted decline in net profit to Rs 127.16 crore for the year ended March 31, as compared to Rs 127.35 crore for the previous fiscal.

Total income has decreased by 2.73 per cent to Rs 1614.52 crore for FY 06 from Rs 1659.90 crore in FY 05.

The group has posted 26.88 per cent decline in net profit after minority interest to Rs 85.82 crore for the year ended March 31, whereas the same was at Rs 117.38 crore for the previous fiscal.

Total income has increased by 9.82 per cent to Rs 2163.54 crore for FY 06 whereas the same was at Rs 1969.95 crore in FY 05.

During the year, Arvind Brands Ltd became a subsidiary of the company and it has been considered for consolidation and hence the previous year figures are not comparable.

The board of directors has recommended a dividend of at the rate 10 per cent on the equity capital for the last fiscal.
