Arrested extremists go on fast

Tiruchirapalli, Apr 27 (UNI) About 10 Tamil extremists, lodged in the Central prison here, began an indefinite fast demanding that the Tamil Nadu Government to withdraw cases filed against them.

According to prison sources, the extremists belonging to ''TamilNadu Viduthalai Iyakkam'', led by its leader Mathiyalagan, were also demanding CBI inquiry into the cases foisted against them by the police, declare them as ''not extremists'' and end the torture during interrogation.
