Anand Kumar face agitating people in Salt Lake

Barasat, Apr 27 (UNI) Deputy Election Commissioner Anand Kumar was gheraoed by around 300 people, whose names have been deleted from the electoral rolls, at a booth in Salt Lake area under Belgachia Assembly constituency.

The agitating people demanded that they be allowed to cast their vote on the basis of their photo identity cards.

Mr Kumar gave a patient hearing to the demands of the people and assured them of looking into the matter.

The situation was later brought under control.
