Ahmedabad-based company makes world's biggest fibre drum

Ahmedabad, Apr 27 (UNI) Fiberpack Industries, a city-based dye-check company, has entered into the Limca Book of Records for manufacturing world's biggest Fiber Drum.

The Fiber Drum having a diameter of 28 inches and a height of 52 inches can carry a load of 650 kg, J K Sheth, Managing Director of Atlast Fiberpack Industries (AFI) today claimed.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Sheth said the Drum was developed by a team of specialists after eight-month long efforts in its design, modifications and other technical aspects.

He said, these drums can be used to pack all types of welding wire, nonferrous wires and others.

The Paper-Fiber drums can be useful in exporting the materials to developed Eruopean and American countries, thus, lots of foreign exchange can be saved. It can also be recycled so it is environment-friendly, Mr Sheth added.
