Sonis assures full support to Koirala

New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI)Congress President Sonia Gandhi today congratulated Girija Prasad Koirala on his nomination as the leader of the seven-party alliance and as Prime Minister of Nepal, and hoped that he would meet with success with his vast experience.

"I would like to wish you all success as you assume the high responsibiity," she said in a message to Mr Koirala, while assuring her party's full support to him and the people of the embattled Himalayan Kingdom in the task of consolidating the victory of the people and addressing the economic challenges that face them.

She expressed the confidence that the new government would meet with success in facing the challenges under the wise and able leadership of Mr Koirala.

Ms Gandhi said she had been following with keen interest the momentous developments in Nepal during the last few days which had led to the restoration of multi-party democracy and handing over of political power to the representatives of the people of Nepal.
