Project to study develpoment of NE through natural resources

Shillong, Apr 26 (UNI) The Ministry of DONER and the World Bank are undertaking a joint study to focus on the natural resources for development and growth in the North Eastern states.

The study aims to develop a vision for the development and management of water and other natural resources for sustainable and equitable growth in the region, official sources said.

The draft study report has already been circulated among the state governments in the region for consulting stakeholders by holding state level workshops.

Before preparing the final report, a national level workshop will be held in New Delhi in June 2006 to review the feedback received from the states.
