Police arrest six fake Maoists

Sambalpur, Apr 26 (UNI) Police have arrested six people from Jamankira, about 50 km from here, who had looted people impersonating themselves as Maoists.

The arrested people, all residents of Sambalpur town, were forwarded to court today.

The accused,police said, forcibly took way three goats of one Mitrabhanu Sunani of Ramtibahal last night. When they were preparing for a robbery in the house of Surendra Patel of the same village, police reached and arrested them.

The Police recovered all the three goats and seized weapons and a van from their possession. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Bhimsen Behera, had masterminded the operation in the name of Maoists,police said.
