Om Bhatt appointed SBI MD

Mumbai, Apr 26 (UNI) Mr Om Prakash Bhatt has assumed charge as Managing Director and Group Executive (National Banking) of State Bank of India with effect from today, stated a press release issued here.

Mr Bhatt joined the State Bank of India as a probationary officer in the year 1972 and immediately prior to this posting, was the Managing Director of the State Bank of Travancore. He has held several key posts at various offices of the bank in the past, stated the release.
