Nepal troops open fire on angry crowd, six killed

KATHMANDU, Apr 26 (Reuters) Nepali troops killed six civilians today, after opening fire on a crowd in the east of the country demonstrating about the alleged killing of a woman by soldiers, army officers said.

The demonstration was not linked to weeks of pro-democracy protests.
