Moderate quake jolts northern Sumatra

New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) An earthquake of moderate intensity shook northern Sumatra in Indonesia today.

The temblor, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, occurred at 2209 hrs, the India Meteorological Department said here.

The quake was epicentred at 05.0 degree North latitude and 96.6 degree East longitude.
