Mahajan shows slight movement, says Rajnath Singh
Mumbai, Apr 26 (UNI) On emerging from Hindjua hospital here where his party general secretary Pramod Mahajan is battling for life for five days, BJP president Rajnath Singh today disclosed that he has showed ''some slight movement.'' ''Mr Mahajan showed some slight movement and I am confident of his recovery,'' the BJP chief told mediapersons camping at the hospital since Saturday, when Mr Mahajan was admitted with grievous gunshot wounds, fired at him allegedly by his younger brother Pravin.
This was Mr Singh's third visit to the hospital. He had rushed here on Saturday night, followed by the second visit on Sunday when former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had come to the hospital along with Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.
''I have come to enquire about his health... I am confident of his recovery and return to active politics,'' Mr Singh reiterated during his brief interface with the media.
Meanwhile, BJP supporters and sympathisers held an evening prayer meeting outside the hospital for recovery of the 56-year-old BJP leader, whose condition continued to be critical but stable.
In the ICU, Mr Mahajan continues to be on life-support system, including ventilator, as also on dialysis, hospital sources said.
