Land dispute claims three lives

Sehore, MP, Apr 26 :Three armed persons were fatally beaten by villagers while the trio were attempting to seize agricultural land in this district's Kolukhedi, police said.

Uroos Iftkhar and two of his friends reached the village yesterday and assaulted Karansingh with the motive of seizing land belonging to Karansingh and Anaarsingh. While targeting Karansingh, the attackers even discharged a shot from a rifle.

As the dispute aggravated, villagers gathered on the scene and assaulted the trio who died on the spot. Iftkhar was a resident of Bhopal's Koh-i-Fiza locality while the other deceased were yet unidentified.

Three decades back, Iftkhar's father sold ancestral land to Karansingh but Iftkhar did not accept the deal.

Police rushed to the spot, seized the bodies and registered a case against Karansingh, Anaarsingh, Shersingh, Ram Gopal, Ramlal and Vishnu Khati. No arrest was executed.
