Karunanidhi warns indisiciplined partymen
Chennai, Apr 26 (UNI) Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President M Karunanidhi today warned of disciplinary action against partymen who had not taken up election work seriously in some of the constituencies in the state.
In a statement here, Mr Karunanidhi said he had received information that party workers in some of the constituencies were reluctant to take up election work and extend cooperation to the allies.
He appealed to them to actively involve in the election work and ensure the victory of DMK and its allies in the May eight assembly elections.
If his appeal failed to yield result, the party headquarters would have no option but to initiate disciplinary action against them, he warned.
During his election tour, he had seen for himself, partymen actively involving themselves in election work. But he was saddened to learn that in some constituencies, the partymen remained slack.
