Indane Distributors association withdraws strike
Chennai, Apr 26 (UNI) The proposed strike by the Indane Distributors Association of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry today was deffered, following an assurance from the management of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) that LPG products will be supplied without interruption to meet the demands.
In a statement here, R Sai Prakash and V Rajagopal President and General Secretary respectively of the association said LPG supply had been resumed to the affected distributors.
Earlier, all the 397 Indane Distributors of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry had decided to resort to a day's strike in protest against the illegal stoppage of LPG gas-cylinder loads to a few distributors by the Indian Oil Employees Union.
