ILFS net up by 62.41 per cent

Mumbai, Apr 26 (UNI) IL&FS Investsmart Ltd today posted an increase of 62.41 per cent in net profit at Rs 2.29 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006, as against Rs 1.41 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

The total income of the company rose 45.65 per cent at Rs 7.21 crore in comparision to Rs 4.95 crore in the previous year, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The Board of directors have recommended a dividend of Rs 3 on equity shares of Rs 10 each (30 per cent) for the year ended March 31, it added.

The shares of the company were trading at Rs 209.05, up 1.26 per cent in BSE.

IL&FS provides broking, distribution and financial management solutions.
