IITians party promises full development of TN

Chennai, Apr 26 (UNI) 'Lok Paritran' party, founded by five IITians in November last, has promised to make Tamil Nadu a developed state in all sectors ahead of the May 8 Assembly elections here.

Party president Tanmay Rajprohit made the promise in the manifesto released here on Monday. The party is entering the poll fray by contesting seven seats, including six in the city.

'Lok Paritran' has also promised eradication of corruption, transparent functioning by introducing measures such as regular communication channels for public, curbing poverty and unemployment through policies like promoting vocational education and addressing fundamental issues of concern in each constituency.

The party's general Secretary Santanagopalan Vasudev, who is seeking election from Mylapore Assembly constituency in the city, said Mr Elanthirumaran would be contesting from Cheapauk, Mr Aravind Seshadri from T Nagar, Mr Rajamany from Anna Nagar, Mr Ishrayel Maheshwar from Thousands lights constituency, Ms Prema from Villvakkam and Mr Vanchinarayanan from Mudukulathur Assembly constituencies.
