Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd PAT up 10 per cent

Mumbai, Apr 26 (UNI) Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited has notched up a 16 per cent growth in sales revenue and a ten per cent growth in net profit in FY 06 at Rs 1,296 crore and Rs 29.61 crore respectively.

The company has ridden on the back of a strong performance by its agro-processing division which has generated an overall revenue of Rs 1,162.46 crore in FY 06 as against Rs 983.21 crore last fiscal.

The company's maize processing division clocked a turnover of Rs 100 crore as against Rs 79 crore last fiscal while its EBITDA rose 16 per cent as against 13 per cent last fiscal.

Similarly, the company's cotton yarn division has also generated substantially higher margins at Rs 13.84 crore as against Rs 0.17 crore last year though overall turnover rose only marginally higher at Rs 134.14 crore as against Rs 133.50 crore last year.
