Fire at PM's residence, no one injured
New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) A minor fire broke out at the Prime Minister's residence at 7, Race Course Road in New Delhi area this afternoon.
The fire, which started at 1350 hrs, was soon brought under control. No one was injured in the incident, a senior police official said.
''It took place at the dumpyard of the Public Works Department (PWD) inside 7, Race Course Road,'' he added.
The Special Protection Group, looking after the security of the Prime Minister, took control of the situation soon after the 'minor fire' broke out. The blaze was extinguished in 15 minutes, he said.
The PWD dumpyard is a little away from the actual residence area of the Prime Minister and the fire department was looking into the matter.
''Even the local police was not been allowed to go inside,'' he said.
Five fire tenders were sent to douse the blaze, the officer added.
