Exxon sells Indonesia's Aceh stake for $51 mln
JAKARTA, Apr 26 (Reuters) U.S. energy giant Exxon Mobil Corp. has sold half of its stake in a gas field in Indonesia's Aceh province for million to a multinational consortium, a company official said on Wednesday.
''We have reached a deal at million with a consortium,'' the official, who declined to be identified, told Reuters.
Earlier, Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. (Japex) said that the company, together with PT Medco Energi International Tbk JK> , and Premier Oil Plc bought Exxon Mobil's stake in block A of a gas field in Aceh province on Sumatra island.
Japex, Medco and Premier bought all the 50 percent stake Exxon Mobil had held in the block. They did not disclose the value of the deal in a statement.
