Couple commit suicide

Faizabad, Apr 26 (UNI) A couple allegedly committed suicide by shooting themselves in Cantonment area here today.

Police superintendent (City) B D Shukla said Pankaj Singh, nephew of UP BJP MLA Lalu Singh and Anita Verma shot themselves with countrymade pistols inside a pipe factory in Mumtaznagar. They died on the spot.

However, some locals believe it to be a double murder case.

Meanwhile, police had recovered the firearms and some cartridges from the spot.

A case had been registered and investigations were on.
