Cong. Parliamentary party deputy leader bereaved

Hyderabad, Apr 26 (UNI) Congress Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader and former Union Minister G Venkata Swamy's wife Kalavati died at his residence in Maredpalli in the city, after prolonged illness today.

She was 76 and is survived by two sons and three daughters.

Her eldest son G Vinod is the Labour Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the younger son is the Managing Director of Visaka Industries and Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industries(CII).

Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy cancelled his 'Praja Padham' programme to Peddapalli, on learing about the death, and returned to the city to console the bereaved family.
