Colgate Palmolive Q4 net up 14.4 pc to Rs 37.01 crore

Mumbai, Apr 26 (UNI) Colgate Palmolive India Ltd has posted 14.4 per cent growth in profit after tax of Rs 37.01 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 32.34 crore for the same period last year.

Announcing the results, the Company said its total income has increased 21.5 per cent to Rs 307.04 crore for Q4 FY 05-06 from Rs 252.61 crore in Q4 FY 04-05.

It has posted 21.4 per cent rise in profit after tax of Rs 137.60 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 113.29 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

Total income has increased to Rs 1149.80 crore for FY 05-06 from Rs 998.45 crore in FY 04-05.

As per the consolidated results, the Group has posted a profit after tax of Rs 140.04 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 112.43 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005, registering a growth of 24.5 per cent. Total income has increased to Rs 1153.18 crore for FY 05-06 from Rs 999.39 crore in FY 04-05.
