CADS Software aims to double revenue

Chennai, Apr 26 (UNI) Stepping into tenth year of its Indian Operations, CADS Software India, a leading software provider for civil and structural Engineers, has planned to double its revenue in the next four to five years from the present four million US dollars.

CADS Software India is a 100 per cent subsidiary of CADS, United Kingdom, an independent software developer specialising in powerful, yet inexpensive and easy to use computer software solutions for construction related industries, CADS Chairman Mr Kenneth Nayagam and Managing Director K K Jagadish told reporters here.

Of the total global revenue of 10 million US dollars last year, about four million comes from the Indian operations, he said.

''We want to double it in the next four to five years. That's our ambition'', Mr Jagadish said.

He said CADS India, which had grown from strength to strength after a humble beginning of eight-member team in 1996, was also planning to increase its manpower strength to about 700 in the next four to five years. At present the company has a strength of 350 people.

Mr Jagaidh said in its ten years of operation, CADS had developed several engineering software products, provided design and detailing services to international clients.

Apart from in-house software products, CADS also markets a new software ''GT STRUDL'' and ESA PT software in India and in SAARC countries.

Mr Jonathan Frvett, Finance Director, said GT STRUDL has become one of the most widely accepted Computer-Aided Engineering and Design (CAE/CAD) tools for the structural analyst and structural design engineer. GT STRUDL is used on a regular basis by thousands of engineers in over 30 countries.

He said CADS India had made considerable progress in writing engineering software in conjunction with CADS UK for the Indian market.
