BSNL employee sent to jail in bribery case

Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) SDpecial CBI judge of Patna Jawahar Prasad Ratnesh today remanded senior telephone office assistant Umesh Chandra Pandey to judicial custody in a case pertaining to bribery till May 10.

During the day, accused Pandey was produced before the designated court under charges of Prevention of Corruption Act.

According to the charges, the accused was arrested by the CBI slueths in Biharsharifs BSNL office yesterday while he was accpeting a bribe of Rs 1500 from a customer for preparing demand note for a pay phone connection.
