BJP workers chant 'Vishnusahasranama' for Mahajan's recovery

Chennai, Apr 26 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today organised a mass prayer for the speedy recovery of party General Secretary Pramod Mahajan, who was shot at and criticially injured by his younger brother.

A large number of women, headed by state unit Mahila Morcha President Lalitha Subash, chanted the 'Vishnusahasranama' at the party headquarters 'Kamalalayam' here.

BJP National Secretaries Bandaru Dattatreya and Shah Nawaz Hussain also took part in the prayer meeting.

The 'Vishnusahasranama' is the 1,000 names of Lord Vishnu, uttered by Bhisma while lying on a bed of arrows at the battlefield in the epic 'Mahabharatha.' UNI AKN AA RP BST1857
