ADCC planning tri-nation series before Champions Trophy

Abu Dhabi, Apr 26 (UNI) If the Abu Dhabi Cricket Council (ADCC) has its way then India, Pakistan and Australia would be locking horns in a tri-nation ODI series here ahead of the Champions Trophy later this year.

''Both India and Pakistan have signalled their intentions to return here for the Tri-nation. We are in talks with Australia and they will complete the three-team line-up,'' ''Gulf News'' quoted the ADCC President BR Shetty as saying.

Mr Shetty said ADCC was looking to host the series in the beginning of October but added that the dates were yet to be worked out.

''The final dates are yet to be finalised,'' he said.

Abu Dhabi played host to a cricket series for the first time last week when India and Pakistan took on each other in the two-match DLF Cup at the Zayed Cricket stadium.

BCCI President Sharad Pawar was all praise for the facilities at the venue and had said that Abu Dhabi was the perfect offshore venue for holding Indo-Pak matches.
