Very heavy rainfall predicted over Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Pune, Apr 25 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places accompanied with squally wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph is likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 48 hours. Indian coast is not likely to be adversely affected during above period.
Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Hot day conditions prevailed at isolated places in Jharkhand and east Madhya Pradesh.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, coastal Orissa, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and of south interior Karnataka and were above normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, south Madhya Maharashtra, north Chattisgarh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
They were markedly below normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, appreciably below normal in some parts of Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh and were below normal in Gujarat and in remaining parts of Assam and Meghalaya and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. They were normal over the rest of the country.
Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripurta, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and mainly dry weather will prevail over west Uttar pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, west Madhya pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
Heavy rain have occurred at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and very light rain have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan and coastal Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa and north interior karnataka.
