UDF will form Government: Tourism Minister
Kannur, Kerala, Apr 25 : Kerala Tourism and Devaswom Minister K C Venugopal today claimed that the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) would form the government after the assembly elections in the state.
Addressing a press conference here, he said as the people appreciated the progress in developmental programmes initiated by the UDF in its five-year-rule, they would re-elect the UDF with a thumping majority.
Mr Venugopal said the law and order situation in the state had improved due to the efforts taken by the UDF government.
Pointing out the developments in tourism and agriculture sectors in the Malabar region, he said the government had given more thrust to the welfare of the people, particulrly the downtrodden.
''We are asking vote for development and the people will vote for the UDF considering the development and improved law and order situation in the state'' he added.
