Two HM militants killed in Jammu

Jammu, Apr 25 (UNI) Two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants were killed in separate encounters in the Udhampur district of Jammu today.

According to a official press release a militant was shot dead by the teams of 59 Rashtriya Rifle and state police. The joint operation was part of a continued operation in which two commanders of HM and Lashkar-e- Toiba (LeT) were killed yesterday.

The militant, who was shot dead today, got injured in yesterday's encounter.

The deceased militant was identified as Kamradin alias Sajjad of HM, resident of Gulabgarh.

One AK rifle, four magazines, 90 rounds and one grenade were recovered from him.

In an another joint operation of 58 Rashriya rifle and BSF a group commmandor of HM was killed in Gul tehsil of the district while another militant escaped taking cover under civil population. The slain militant was indentified as Mohammed Maqbool alias Tanveer, resident of Gul.

One magazine with 27 rounds and one hand grenade were recovered from him. The search for the second militant is still on.
