TN chess tourney for school kids

Chennai, Apr 25 (UNI) The second Vishy Anand-Hero Cycles Tamil Nadu state level inter-school (boys and Girls) U-7 to U-17 chess championship will be held here on April 29 and 30 under the auspices of the Vishy Anand Chess academy.

K Thirukkalathy and S Balaraman, Academy Vice-President and Secretary respectively, told mediapersons here today that over 400 participants from 200 schools in different parts of Tamil Nadu were expected to participate in the two day event.

They said the categories were under 7, 9, 11, 13 and 17 (for boys and girls) and the winner in each category would get a Hero Cycle.
