Taj Samudra to invest USD 8 million on renovation

Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) Taj Samudra of Srilanka is investing USD 8 million for its renovation to be completed in three phases.

''The first phase is already over in March, costing USD two million,'' Taj Srilanka Area Division General Manager Veer Vijay Singh said here today.

An investment of USD five million would be made during the current financial year for renovating the fifth floor Top end with 60 rooms, Cafe shop, Health club with SPA facilities and a discotheque and is likely to be completed by October, Mr Singh added.

Two Banquet halls located near the coast are already in the process of renovation after it was damaged due to Tsunami, Mr Singh said.

Further, Taj Garden Room will also be renovated with an addition of more hundred rooms, he said.

There are 56 Taj hotels at 39 locations all over the world, he added.
