Sonia leaves for New Delhi
Chennai, Apr 25 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi left for New Delhi tonight after completing her whistle-stop campaign in Tamil Nadu and Union territory of Pondicherry.
After winding up her whirlwind tour here, Ms Gandhi left for Delhi by a special aircraft. She was seen off at the airport, among others, by Union Ministers T R Baalu, G K Vasan, Dayanidhi Maran, AICC General Secretary Veerappan Moily and TNCC President M Krishnasamy.
Ms Gandhi, who arrived here this morning from Kerla, flew down to Pondicherry and then to Madurai to seek votes for the DMK led Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA).
She completed her day's tour by addressing an election rally at the island grounds here, sharing dias with DMK President M Karunanidhi.
