Scientist injured in attack

Hisar, Apr 25 (UNI) A senior scientist of the Haryana Agriculture University (HAU), father of Ranji player Manvendra Bisla, was shot at by armed assailants at his campus residence late last night, police said today.

Dr Sultan Singh Bisla, who was hit by a bullet in his right arm, was out of danger, Superintendent of Police (SP) A S Chawala said.

One of the two assailants, who fled after opening fire on Mr Bisla, had been identified and will be captured soon, he said.

The two assailants, who came in a car without number plate, entered the scientist's house late last night, fired at him and fled the spot immediately.

Dr Bisla said neither of the attackers was not known to him.

Police was investigating the matter and a manhunt had been launched to trace the assailants.
