Ranchi planning officer denied anticipatory bail

Patna, Apr 25 (UNI) The special vigilance judge of Patna, Ramnivas Prasad today rejected the anticipatory bail petition of the planning officer of Ranchi J J B Tirkey in the District Urban Development Authority (DUDA) scam of Bihar.

The case is related to financial irregularities committed in different schemes of 'Swarn Jayanti Shahari Vikas Yojana' in DUDA Patna in 2004. Tirkey was posted as district planning officer of Patna during the period.

The former District Magistrate of Patna Dr Gautam Goswami is also accused in the case. Dr Goswami is currently lodged in jail in connection with multi-crore flood relief scam of Bihar.
