Police busts racket of pirated books

New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI) Police today claimed to have busted a racket of pirated books with the arrest of two people in North East Delhi.

Rashid (22) and Sanjay (30) were arrested yesterday from Gokulpuri area.

Police recovered large number of class 9 and 10 standard NCERT and Pradeep Publications' text books of various subjects --Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics-- from them.

''We recovered 1850 bound books, 1290 unbound books worth 13 lakh, one printing machine, five off set plates, one paper cutting machine and one book stitching machine,'' a police official said.
