Hardcore terrorist gunned down

Jammu, Apr 25 (UNI) Security forces gunned down a hardcore terrorist at Gulabgarh in Udhampur district of Jammu early today.

The encounter was a part of a continued operation in which two commanders of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) and Lashkar-E-Toiba (LeT) were killed, yesterday.

A defence spokesman said the third terrorist who was injured in an encounter had taken shelter in a small house. As the teams of 59 Rashtriya rifle and state police cordoned off the area and cleared the civilians from there, the terrorist started firing indiscriminately and the house caught fire.

The fire was extinguished and the charred body of terrorist was recovered from the rubble who was indentified as Kamradin alias Sajjad of Hizb-ul- Mujahideen(hm), resident of Gulabgarh.

One AK rifle, four magazines, 90 rounds and one grenade were recovered from him.

Yesterday, the security forces had gunned down the group commander of LeT Abu Majid alias Abu Samama and Nazir Ahmed alias Jehangir of HM , in the same operation.
