Governor to present Godfrey Philips bravery awards

Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna will present the 14th Godfrey Bravery Awards for Maharashtra here tomorrow evening.

Godfrey Philips recognises and rewards acts of physical and social bravery to build positive role models, inspiring and motivating scores of others to help built a more caring and compassionate society, a Rajbhavan release here said.

Though awards have been instituted for men in uniform, there were no bravery awards for the common man Godfrey philips filled this void by instituting the awards in the categories of physical bravery and social courage, from last year, the release added.
