Forward Bloc congratulates people of Nepal

New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI) The All India Forward Bloc today welcomed King Gyanendra's move to restore Parliament in Nepal, saying it was a step in the right direction.

It also congratulated the people of Nepal on their ''grand victory''.

The AIFB Central Committee, in a statement here, urged the Seven-Party Alliance (SPA) to take the nation forward on the path to progress while ensuring safety for the multi-party democratic system.

All efforts need to be made to bring the Maoists into the mainstream and all political prisoners released, it added.

The Socialist Solidarity Centre for Nepal Democracy also ''saluted'' the people of Nepal for its victory and congratulated the SPA for maintaining unity and choosing a consensus prime ministerial candidate.

Calling upon the Indian government to help in the flourishing of the fragile democracy in Nepal, the SSCND said it was always with the people of Nepal in their efforts for nation building and development.
