Cong approching EC sign of dejection: Chouhan
Budhni (MP), Apr 25 (UNI) Taking a dig at the Congress's demand for including electricity bill for alleged additional power supply in Budhni to his poll expenditure, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said the government was committed to the state's overall development.
On the second leg of his 163-km padyatra for campaigning, Mr Chouhan, who is the BJP candidate in Budhni assembly constituency, today addressed more than six public meetings in several places, including Nandgaon, Satrana, Sobhat and Etawah.
He said development works being carried out in the state by the government has left the Congress disappointed forcing them to repeatedly lodge complaints against him with the Election Commission (EC).
The Congress approaching the EC with false complaints demanding that electricity bill be included in his poll expenditure was a sign of its dejection, he added.
Reiterating that the BJP will adhere to the model code of conduct and the EC's directives, he said he would win the bypoll without resources or money to give a fit reply to his opponents.
He expressed gratitude to public for coming to his 'padyatra' despite scorching heat.
