Bhatt appointed MD of SBI

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 25 (UNI) State Bank of Travancore Managing Director Om Bhatt has been appointed Managing Director of the State Bank of India.

Starting his career as a probationary Officer at the State Bank of India in 1972, Mr Bhatt has held several key assignments at various offices.

He has been the Scheme Co-ordinator of Branch Computerisation at SBI Central Office, Regional Manager of SBI Jaipur Zone, General Manager of Lucknow Zone and Chief General Manager of North East Zone, a release said here.

He had also served at the London and Washington offices of the State Bank of India.
