Belgaum issue: K'taka to present strong case

Belgaum, Apr 25: The Karnataka Government will present strong documentary evidences before the Supreme Court in the case relating to the border dispute with Maharashtra, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Basavaraj Horatti informed today.

Speaking to newspersons here, he said the State was confident of convincing the Apex Court on the issue.

He said a meeting had been convened in this regard at Bangalore tomorrow in which ministers, leaders of all parties and legal experts would take part to discuss the issue in detail so that the state could present a strong counter to Maharashtra's claim.

To a question, he said a special officer had been appointed to study the feasibility of setting up a Law University in Northern Karnataka and a report was expected soon.
