All options open for Punjab elections: BSP

Jalandhar, Apr 25 (UNI) The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today said will keep all options open for an alliance in the next assembly elections in Punjab.

Talking to reporters here BSP General Secretary Narendra Kashyap said, ''The country is passing through the era of coalition politics and the party also appreciate the need of an alliance''.

''However, an appropriate decision in this regard will be taken by BSP president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Ms Mayawati at an appropriate point of time keeping larger national political compulsions in mind,'' Mr Kashyap, incharge of the party affairs in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, said.

Over the possibility of an alliance with ruling Congress, Mr Kashyap said that all possibilities are open.

''Even the option of going to the poll in this state, on its own is also open,'' he added.
