4 Indians in joint lead in Dubai International
Dubai, Apr 25 (UNI) The Indian quartet of Grandmaster R B Ramesh, International Master Satyapragyan Swayangsu, Lalith Babu and SP Sethuraman won their second round games to remain in the joint lead with two points each in the 8th Dubai International Chess championship here.
In an all-Indian affair, Ramesh had little problem in getting the better of Anil Kumar's defence, while Satyapragyan edged past Stellwagen Robin of Germany.
Sethuraman too found the going easy against International Master and compatriot Vishal Sareen while Lalit Babu upset Uzbek IM Kayumov Sergey.
The Delhi duo of Parimarjan Negi and Sahaj Grover had mixed fortunes with the former winning against Filipino Valerio Axel while his citymate went down to Iranian Laabi Chian Majid.
Meanwhile, WGM Ramaswamy Aarthie was held to a draw with Safarli Eltaj of Azerbaijan but compatriot and Women International Master Nadig Kruttika was beaten by IM Simonenko Sergei of Turkmenistan.
