30 injured in Kashmir blasts
Srinagar, Apr 25 (UNI) At least 30 people were injured in a series of blasts in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said.
The sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards security forces at main market Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama this afternoon. However, it missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside injuriing 20 people. The blast was followed by firing in the air by security forces. The injured were admitted to hospitals.
At least six people were injured when a private vehicle was blown up in a mine blast at Lolab in the frontier district of Kupwara today.
Sources said militants had planted the mine to target security force vehicles in the area.
Militants threw a hand grenade towards Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker near general bus stand at Batmaloo last night causing injuries to a jawan. Militants later managed to escape under the cover of darkness, they said adding the injured jawan was admitted to hospital.
Panic gripped Muslim peer area in apple township of Sopore in Baramulla district this afternoon when two unidentified persons resorted to indiscriminate firing. However no one was injured in the firing.
