3 youth killed in road mishap

Lakhimpur Kheri, UP, Apr 25 (UNI) Three youth riding a motorcycle died when they were hit head-on by a speeding truck on the Kheri-Bahraich highway early today.

Police said the victims were returning from a 'tilak' ceremony when the incident took place.

The trio died on the spot, while the truck driver fled the scene.

Two deceased were residents of Rehuna in the district.

A case had been registered in this regard.
