Wheat crop spread over 15 acres destroyed in fire

Phagwara, Apr 24 (UNI) The wheat crop spread over about 15 acres was destroyed in a major fire which broke out in four different wheat fields in nearby villages Ranipur and Nawanpind last night.

Several fire tenders fought the flames and the adjoining fields of the wheat crop were saved, a fire official here said.
