Rajnath Singh's yatra to pass through Punjab on May 4
Jalandhar, Apr 24 (UNI) The Rastriya Surakshya Yatra, undertaken by BJP President Rajnath Singh from Jagannath Puri to Delhi from April six, will pass through Punjab on May four and five.
Party Secretary H S Grewal told reporters here today that Mr Singh would begin his yatra in Punjab from the Golden Temple in Amritsar and pass through Gurdaspur, Mukerian, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Moga, Ferozepur and Abohar during the two days.
During the yatra the BJP chief would address three rallies at Mukerian, Jalandhar and Ludhiana on May four and two rallies at Ferozepur and Abohar on May five. The yatra would have night halt at Ludhiana on May 4 and would move into Rajasthan from Abohar the next day.
Shiromani Akali Dal President and former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would accompany Mr Singh during his yatra in Punjab and Rajasthan.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje would be present at the rally at Abohar on May 5 and later escort the yatra into the state.
