Mizoram govt to intensify medical care
Aizawl, Apr 24 (UNI) Mizoram government has decided to introduce the Indian Medical Association's (IMA) new project called 'Aao Gaon Chale' (come, let us go to the villages) across the state.
The IMA's Mizoram State Branch, with the help of the state health department, would be starting their project with Nghalchawm village along with its neighbouring Lengte village towards the west of the state capital.
The project will see that not only medical is available for the villagers, but also clean drinking water, child and mother health care, good road connectivity and sustainable employment was provided to the people.
Speaking at the inauguration, state health minister Dr Lalthangliana said the government would extend all possible help to the IMA, which had come out with a project, where villagers would not need to come to towns for health care.
He said the people of the villages across the state would also extend all possible support to the doctors and cooperate with them, during their regular visits to the area.
