Jagdish Mukhi wants all 'irregularities' to be regularised
New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Jagdish Mukhi today said all 'irregularities' in residential and commercial areas of the capital should be regularised.
The Floor Area Ratio needed to be increased and people should also be allowed to construct an additional floor after paying some charges.
All such past constructions should be regularised but at the same time strict action should be taken against any further such constructions, he said.
He was giving his 'suggestions' before the Tejinder Khanna Committee, constituted by the Centre to find a solution to the vexed problem arisen due to court-ordered mass-scale demolition/sealing drive against unauthorised construction and commercial estabilishments in the city.
Mr Mukhi also suggested that on roads where there were more than 50 per cent commercial estabilishments, they should be regularised and similarly commercial activity should also be allowed on all roads more than 60 feet wide.
